Peace

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to attend girls camp with my stake.  We headed to a camp in West Virginia to settle in for the week. Despite the rain, humidity and a bit of heat it was a great week in a beautiful place. We were able this year to hike to some falls located on the property of a neighboring camp. It was a peaceful hike to a quiet place.

Growing up I spent a lot of time on my own shepherding my flock of sheep through the mountains out west. I had many quiet conversations with my Father in Heaven and learned to appreciate the beauty he gave us to enjoy. I was grateful for this little hike because it reminded me again how important it is to give thanks for the beauty around us.
