Growing Up — Child Photographer — Shenandoah Valley, VA

We repeatedly tell our children to pursue their dreams. What we sometimes have trouble with is letting them do it in their own time. We have been encouraging her to get out there and perform but she just hasn’t been ready. We recently spent a weekend in Richmond and met Carmen Rasmusen. Some of you may remember her from her American Idol days. I believe it was season 2. She is now Carmen Rasmusen Herbert. She is happily married and has two beautiful little boys. She was a joy to meet and was so wonderful in answering my daughters questions about her experience on Idol. My sweet daughter now, has been throwing around the idea of trying out for X Factor. I don’t know what the future will bring or if we will be among the thousands who try out this year. But if not this year there is always next year right? Regardless I can’t believe how grow-up my girl is becoming. Pretty soon I will sending her out into the world to conquer her dreams. Good luck to you my dear girl!
