In this house…

A few months ago I came across this cute little saying. I believe it was on Pinterest that I first saw it.  Since then I have been toying with different ideas and places for it to go in my home. I finally called my friend who owns a little business called Devinylicious. She cut the saying out for me in vinyl.  At first I was just going to put it directly on my wall and then I thought why not make a cute little wall hanging out of this…

The wheels started turning and within the next 24 hours I had a plan hatched… I just needed a partner in crime to go with me to get the goods.

I headed to Lowes with my daughter and gathered my supplies. Met a nice young man who was kind enough to help me find a way to save a bit of time in putting the project together.

So with a plain piece of wood 24″ x 24″, some paint, a faux finish product, some paint brushes and some hardware for hanging it, I headed out.

Monday proved to be the best day to get the project rolling.  It was all painted and drying by the end of the day on Monday. Today was the fun part… I put on the vinyl words and embellished it up a bit.  Sadly I didn’t take pics from beginning to end (which I should have) but here is the end product.
